ProTrustee is seeking a full-stack software engineer. This is a full-time position and we are open to candidates working in-person at our office in Charleston SC or remotely.

Our software platform provides customizable solutions to help trust officers and fiduciaries manage the complex landscape of trust administration from compliance to accounting. Responsibilities and expectations. We will expect the following from you in this role:

• Participate in story development and refinement
• Design and implement changes to our relational data model and Postgres database
• Design and implement back-end changes to our REST API using TypeScript and NodeJS
• Design and implement front-end user interface changes to our responsive React web application
• Embrace test-driven development to ensure that all features are covered through automated testing
• Maintain a strong security posture by staying up to date on security best practices for software development and by always applying secure coding techniques
• Troubleshoot applications issues with the ability to identify root cause and implement changes to remediate identified issues
• Contribute to product direction by collaborating on brainstorming and product vision
• Elevate our software architecture and development practices by staying abreast of industry best practices and proactively identifying areas for improvement

Qualifications. Ideal candidates will possess the following:

• Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with TypeScript or other similar language
• Experience building REST-based APIs
• Experience building dynamic and well-designed front-end applications using React or a similar framework
• Experience designing and building relational data models; familiarity with Postgres is a plus
• Familiarity with dev ops, continuous integration, cloud infrastructure platforms, and monitoring tools is a plus
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
